BEEF BRISKET SISIG: LONDON STYLE

FILIPINO PAN ASIAN CUISINE IN LONDON

In the last few years Bintang has been introducing a lot more Filipino dishes, and on a recent Maginawa episode, Omar and Bintang chefs, Chris and Charles, teach Bintang’s signature ‘Beef  Sisig’. Part of the Maginhawa YouTube channel is to illustrate the ins and outs of the brands under its wing. And part of that is showing you guys how our signature dishes that you all love, are made!

BINTANG STYLE SISIG

Originally the sisig originated from Pampanga, Philippines, as a vinegary salad of pork and papayas seasoned with calamansi. The recipe has been refined over the years by Lucia "Aling Lucing" Cunanan from Angeles City, Pampanga who popularized the dish to be boiled and grilled before being served on a sizzling plate, making it a Kapampangan novelty.  At Bintang, we’re doing a special twist with our sisig, the important switch is from beef instead of pork and adding a sriracha mayonnaise for that extra spicy and creamy punch, a Bintang Filipino Pan Asian fusion.
